THE ELITE FLEET ACADEMY

The “ELITE FLEET” Academy is our after-school program that focuses on addressing and enhancing the students' esteem through the use of hardcopy books and articles as teaching tools. 

This program provides students with books, reading materials, and dictionaries.  

Students' use of technology will be limited, except for pure research with adult monitoring. This is because we focus on pure reading skills.

The students will receive evaluations that are not based on a pass/fail system. The process will monitor their reading progress. The program uses writing assignments designed to improve their grammar and reading comprehension. 

The following are examples of the activities that students engage in. 

• Understanding Aerodynamics (Rocketry, Airplane building, etc.)
• Home Economics (to incorporate healthy eating and nutrition-based meals)
• Development of Healthy Social Interactions through Sports
• Understanding Rhythm through Music
• Development of Self through Culturally-based History
